I bought the book and have read a lot so far, it does not need my haskama. My question is as follows: on pg. 452 you accept Chazal's chronology over the conventional; on the other hand you base a lot of archeological claims on the work of Kenneth Kitchen, who is an ardent believer in conventional chronology. What is your opinion on the matter? how does this shtim? Have you read Alexander Hool's books on the subject (his main theory is great but many of his theories, especially in the Pharaoh book, are questionable at least, many times bordering on conspiracy). Will this be addressed in the Destiny series?
The question of chronology is thorny. I accept Chazal's chronology for two reasons. One, they are Chazal. Two, they were relatively contemporaneous; they lived just a few centuries after the time in question. We know that the American Revolution took place two centuries before fall of the Soviet Union. Archaeologists three thousand years from now may have a different opinion. I do intend to address the chronology question when we reach that period. (I do not believe people falsified records to mess up our chronology.)
